“As these Prayers of the Night flow into our reflections and meditations, then the negativities of the day flow up to be dealt with. Negativities of the day block the soul from lifting to the Heavenly Realm and away from the bodily form. So now is the ideal time for this natural observation/examination of self. We ask for forgiveness from all our transgressions that add blockages to the Divine Uplift that occurs during sleep time.”

The Prayers of the Night are ancient in their long use and have many of the characteristics of both the ‘Examination of Conscience’ and the ‘Pater Noster’ prayers that we learnt as children.
