(Passover Freedom Day – Excerpt from “Sacred Days” by Debramarie Burslem)
The word “Pesach” means to pass over, or spare. In a nutshell, the feast of Pesach is about just that – a celebration of freedom. The tradition is rooted in the biblical story of Exodus when the ancient Celtic Hebrews/Hyksos tribe were spared from their Egyptian relatives and brought forth into a new life.
We know that each month we are given particular divine energy gifts which we can utilise to overcome challenges and move forward with success. These are shown in the planetary zodiac cycle. Every year at the Passover/Pesach period we take the time to look at ourselves with a view to change. We can choose to use the energy of this time for change and growth. We then draw down the enormous amounts of energy available to lift us up into miracle making power working through us. That is what we call magnifying self movement through divine energies (graces)!
The Passover/Pesach time of energy provides us with the greatest seed of all miracles for the entire year. It is up to us all how we deal with and use this outpouring of grace energy. If we doubt our own ability to draw down miracles and the light presence into our lives, we will be blocking the opening door of grace and opportunity with our negative mindset attitude.
We can see then how important it is for us to work at removing all doubt, selfishness, complaining, negativity and any old ways of thinking that cause us to close the door on what God has planned for us at this Passover time and for the rest of the year. The Passover doorway offers a huge amount of cosmic energy into our entire planet at this time of the year, so we can use it.
The feast of Passover/Pesach is held on the fourteenth day of Nissan, (ancient Hebrew word -usually falling in March or April,) and is immediately followed by the “Week of Unleavened Bread” which lasts for seven days. This signifies an “unleavened bread or untainted community meal” concept of signposts of light within each divine soul. That gives us a large amount of time to lap up the divine energies.
On the first night the Great Passover/Pesach “meal” celebration is held with a symbolic “meal”. Remember the meal is a sign of the light path of the “shadow” of what is due to come. Each ingredient at the table has a specific meaningful signpost reminder attached to it. They each serve to throw a sign up on the path of life.
The biblical story of Exodus is retold, to reinforce the freedom message that, although the story of Exodus is a historical past event we are experiencing the same situation of the need for freedom today. We, like the ancient Israelites, have the power to connect more to the blessing of the light presence of God and to choose to move in God’s plan despite the problems and challenges we may be faced with.
Although Passover is not a sacred sabbath of no work it leads to some of the most significant Sacred Sabbath Days to be held in the Week of Unleavened Bread. It signposts them with the divine and also physical “meal” of Passover.
